About Tracey Maclaren
Queenstown Wedding Celebrant and JP
I consider myself a local.
Hailing from the “friendly south” I have holidayed in the southern lakes region since I was a preschooler, returning to holiday here many times in my youth.
Following my university studies, I travelled extensively in Europe and worked in Canada, and the UK returning home to Queenstown where I have lived permanently for more than 30 years.
My background is in Hospitality and Tourism Management, and I consider myself lucky to call this region “my back yard”.
I live in beautiful Arrowtown with my gorgeous golden retriever “Betty” and we love hiking all the magical trails in this area. I truly love the lifestyle this beautiful region has to offer.
A four-season destination, with spectacular scenery and an abundance of fabulous activities on the doorstep. It is the perfect destination for a Ceremony of Marriage.
I have Trinity College letters in Speech and Drama and have enjoyed performing and taking part in musical theatre locally and I am comfortable speaking publicly.
I became a celebrant in 2014 and I am proud to have performed more than 850 ceremonies since then.
I love my role as a celebrant, it is the most rewarding job I have ever had, and it incorporates all “my loves.”
I love
- Meeting with you and listening to your thoughts and ideas.
- Guiding you through the process of planning a ceremony.
- Collaborating with other industry colleagues and creating a ceremony with you and for you.
- Preparing and arranging the smooth running of the ceremony.
- Caring for you ensuring you are calm and relaxed throughout the ceremony and sharing my experience and my beautiful backyard with you.
